• Average Patients per Day:

• Super Track (group average): 14 patients/day

• Per Provider: patients/day

About Northern Navajo Medical Center (NNMC)

• NNMC is part of the Shiprock Service Unit (SRSU), the largest geographical service unit of Navajo Area Indian Health Service (NAIHS).

• Facilities within SRSU:

• NNMC: 69-bed medical center, main administrative hub

• Four Corners Regional Health Center

• Dzilth-Na-O-Dith-Hle Health Center

• Staffing:

• 50 physicians

• 75 inpatient beds

• 5-bed Intensive Care Unit

• Emergency Department (ED):

• Provides 24/7 emergency medical treatment

• Designations:

• Level IV Trauma Center (since 2021)

• Certified Peds Ready by the New Mexico EMS for Children and the University of New Mexico Child Ready Program

• Always staffed with at least one physician

• SuperTrack shift options:

• 10-hour shifts

• Start times: 7 AM, 8 AM, Noon, 2 PM

Specialty Services

• Referral Centers:

• University of New Mexico (Albuquerque): Specialized adult and pediatric transfers

• San Juan Regional Medical Center (Farmington, NM): Level III trauma center, STEMI center, Primary Stroke Center (30-minute drive)

Job Requirements & Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses

• Conduct comprehensive exams for adults and children

• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety projects

• Collaborate with physicians and specialists to optimize patient care

Additional Requirements

• Commitment to rural, tribal, and underserved healthcare

• Compassionate, mission-driven approach to social medicine

• Interest in joining a dynamic, socially impactful healthcare enterprise

• Certifications & Licenses:

• Board-certified

• ACLS & BLS

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA-C license & DEA (from any US state or territory)

• No lapse in practice exceeding six months before assignment
