Mid-Level Manual QA Tester CGI is seeking a Mid-Level Manual QA Tester who is highly motivated and will have an opportunity to work with top Healthcare company. The Manual Quality Tester upholds quality assurance standards and measures for the team, gathers and analyzes data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements, enhancements, and will plan and support direct supervisor in executing, training, and supporting the team. This will include writing test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, writing test plans and scripts for application development, information systems, and operations systems. The QA Tester exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives. The QA Tester focuses on providing thought leadership within Information Management but works on broader projects, which require understanding of wider business. This role is based in Lafayette, LA in a Hybrid Model. Your future duties and responsibilities: Define test process including required test activities, deliverables and test schedule. Understand how changes impact work upstream and downstream including various back end and front-end architectural modules Responsible for developing smoke, functional and regression test suites for GUI Front End, and Database backend Document, maintain, and monitor software problems Recommend strategies and methods to improve test plans and test processes As a member of the scrum team, closely interact with both onsite and offshore team members Define test data conditions and partners and works closely with Data team to obtain the data Actively participate in all phases of testing (In sprint functional testing, integration testing and regression) Business requirement analysis, test design, defect logging and tracking Actively engage in defect reporting and triaging Adheres to the organization's Quality Engineering best practices Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a QA Manual Tester Must have recent hands-on experience of API Testing using tools like POSTMAN Must be able to understand the concepts of interoperability testing and contract testing between systems Familiar with JSON validation techniques Intermediate Microsoft SQL query skills required, exposure to writing/editing complex SQL queries Must be able to understand data mapping sheets and able to validate source to target workflows developed on cloud-data platform such as Databricks Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure preferred) Experience in Design, development and implementation of QA strategy Must have broad knowledge experience with testing and modeling tools and change management and test case generation techniques Experience with test management and defect tracking tools Must have worked in SCRUM and is able to work in fast-paced development environment Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to collaborate with a team of Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, Project Managers and Application Developers in various locations to test configuration of business requirements Exposure to Automation Testing and technologies a plus Prior experience in the Health Care industry preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $55,700.00 - $97,500.00.
