Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Location: Dallas, NC

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: 1st Shift, overtime as needed, on call as needed

Pay: Based on Experience

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Electrician to support both electrical systems and general maintenance across all facility and production equipment. This hands-on role is essential to ensuring operational efficiency and workplace safety in a fast-paced, industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Work (50%)

1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for machinery, lighting, and alarms.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical programming and logic issues on industrial equipment.
3. Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
4. Install and service safety components such as interlocks, switches, and circuit breaker panels.
5. Inspect, test, and upgrade outdated wiring and electrical components.
6. Ensure compliance with NEC, state, and local electrical codes.
7. Design and plan electrical layouts for new equipment and facility improvements.
8. Identify and correct safety hazards or code violations.

General Maintenance (30%)

1. Perform regular preventive maintenance on production and lab equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
2. Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions and confirm the effectiveness of repairs.
3. Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs when necessary.
4. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
5. Assist with procurement of tools, parts, and supplies; manage vendor relationships.
6. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Equipment Management (20%)

1. Assist in evaluating and planning new machinery purchases and setups.
2. Support installation and testing of new equipment.
3. Maintain and organize technical manuals and documentation.
4. Train team members on new machinery operation and safety procedures.

Qualifications

Required:

1. 2+ years of industrial electrical experience
2. Completion of electrician apprenticeship or degree from a technical school
3. 2+ years of general maintenance or journeyman-level experience
4. Strong mechanical aptitude
5. Proficiency with electrical systems, power distribution, schematics, and controls
6. Ability to disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery
7. High school diploma or GED
8. Valid driver’s license
9. Forklift experience

Preferred:

1. Trade or technical certifications
2. Plumbing or general facility maintenance experience
