Responsibilities of the Dialysis Patient Care Technician:

• Set up, operate, clean, and disinfect dialysis machines and related equipment
• Monitor patients and equipment during dialysis treatments and report any changes to the nurse
• Accurately document treatment details in accordance with facility policies
• Assist with medication administration as allowed by state regulations
• Support emergency care procedures as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and proper infection control standards in assigned areas
• Participate in facility quality improvement initiatives
• Assist other team members, including support roles, as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times

Qualifications for Dialysis Patient Care Technician:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current certification as required by state law
• Minimum 1 year of experience in patient care, preferably in dialysis or a related healthcare setting
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Basic computer, telephone, and keyboard proficiency
• Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
