Job Description

We are seeking a business analyst with experience in Six Sigma methodology and higher education change management for a possible opportunity with one of our public sector clients. In this role, you’ll support the lead senior business analyst on a major shared services transformation initiative, contributing to the design and implementation of a streamlined back-office model that unifies workflows and systems across campus operations.

This is a high-visibility, collaborative role that involves significant in-person interaction with stakeholders, including leading workshops and presentations. If you are the right fit, you bring strong facilitation skills, a calm and clear communication style, and a knack for translating complexity into action, especially in large, consensus-driven organizations.

This is a part-time, contract opportunity. Hybrid in San Jose, California—we can only consider candidates who are local to the area. We'll only be able to respond to applicants who meet the basic qualifications for this role.

Required:

• Local to San Jose or the Bay Area
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• 3+ years of experience as a business analyst, process analyst, or similar role
• Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead in-person workshops and presentations
• Familiarity with higher education operations, governance, and administrative systems

Nice to Have:

• PROSCI Change Management certification, with proven experience applying it in higher education environments
• Experience working with public universities or state education systems
• Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale transformation or shared services initiatives

Pay range: $35 - $45/hr. W2, depending on experience
